Hey, I'm April

Hello sunny San Diego! I've uprooted myself from my home town of Philly and shipped myself to the other coast. I'm most comfortable walking on uneven pavement of Philly and eating cheesesteaks. Moving to San Diego is the latest and greatest adventure in my life and I'm way too excited to see what else is out there.

I'm a recent Drexel grad where I studied and became obessed with Graphic Design. I minored in Psychology and I dabbled a lot in other course work like business, economics and writing. I started out actually as Psych major and although it was all very interesting, I was still very much unfulfilled.

I've always been obsessed with making things. I enjoy painting, drawing, knitting, crocheting, book making, photography, sewing and anything else I can make with my hands. As a type addict, I'm constantly looking and collecting images for inspiration. I'm currently working on class projects, producing printed materials for various different departments around the University and freelancing.

Before knowing what typography was, I was obsessed with letterforms and their usage.
These beautiful little symbols were the keys to communication. I started college majoring in
Psychology. I'm fascinated with how people interact, communicate and behave with objects,
within spaces and especially with each other. But my insatiable need to create made me turn to design.
I firmly believe graphic design is about problem solving especially in regards to the human experience. The possibilities are endless. It's the perfect marriage between my interest in human behavior and my passion for visual communications.
